WELCOME TO THE WILDSIDE
A huge thank you to Gauteng Province who took hosting a tournament to the next level. The venue was well appointed with tournament designed posters and décor. A scoring system using lights instead of the very annoying “sirens” was introduced with great success and silence.
There were 266 players from 7 provinces who participated in the Wild Side Tournament. Because only two playing areas were available at this wonderful venue, the host province had to reduce the length of the games, and to ensure that teams had an abundance of games (more than usual per day) the days started early, ended late and often went through lunch. With the reduced length of the games the strategy often had to change and fitness was not always the winner.
Without dedicated parents and Coaches tournaments such as this cannot happen, and for this SAUWHF is eternally grateful.
